Upgradation and Modernization

Upgradation and technological modernization is aimed at increasing the technical capabilities and operational efficacy of a product / project.

Upgradation can be broadly defined as induction and assimilation of new technology to augment the capacity and quality of the existing plant which in turn results in a quantum / measurable improvement in the performance of the product.

In water and waste water treatment plants, upgradation and revamping have become all the more important in the face of changing influent characteristics, increased capacity requirements, to maintain the quality of output water and other such technical factors. Modernization of the plants may be dictated by the changing environments such as labour problems, lack of adequate time, operational expertise, need to reduce human errors and reduction of maintenance cost.

One of the most important aspects of modernization may be understood as automation of the products. Automation is the use of control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Data Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Remote Telemetry Units (RTU) in conjunction with other applications of information technology to control operations of machineries and processes. Automation helps avoid excessive dependence on man power and minimize the possibility of human errors. Today, companies are striving to utilize advanced automation systems to integrate processes for a rapidly expanding range of applications and human activities.

We use high quality support accessories (field instruments) for data access such as Electro Magnetic Flow Meters, Ultra Sonic Level Sensors, Pressure Transmitters, On Line pH and Residual Chlorine Indicators, Electrically Operated Rising Spindle Type Valve With Actuators, Energy Meters, Leads and Cables for Sensors etc in our automation systems. These systems collect and transmit data which provides valuable and critical operational information. Our systems are modularly designed and upgradeable to various levels of automation enabling effective data capture and automatic feedback based process automation which in turn helps in ensuring consistency and reliability of operation, reduces human errors and manpower costs.


Apart from upgrading and modernizing the treatment plants supplied by us, we also provide such solutions to Third Party Plant (TPP - Equipment erected by other suppliers). Upgradation of TPP is subject to the Evaluation Report (ER) submitted by our technical personnel and approved by the Head-Technical.
